Abstract
Beam diagnostics for J-PARC, a high intensity proton accelerator complex, adopt several new chalenges to
accommodate the high intensity proton beam. Present status of diagnostic devices is summarized for the MR (Main
Ring) with the stress on BPM calibration for the day-1 (low intensity) and beam loss monitor utility.
