The particle size of TEGOLON® ECO 10-10 is
precisely adjusted in order to impart a pleasant skin
feel in cosmetic formulations. The summarized
particle size distribution is shown in Figure 1.

TEGOLON® ECO 10-10 is able to mattify the
appearance of the skin. This benefit can be proved
by measuring the reduced gloss of the skin after
treatment with TEGOLON® ECO 10-10 containing
formulations, as shown in Figure 2. As a
consequence, TEGOLON® ECO 10-10 provides
excellent covering power in make-up formulations.

Due to a special precipitation process,
TEGOLON® ECO 10-10 has a microporous structure
that can be precisely adjusted. The high specific
surface area of the powder leads to high oil
absorption for various types of oils:

TEGOLON® ECO 10-10 originates from 100%
renewable sources. It is a polyamide from castor oil
derived sebacic acid and 1,10-decanediamine. The
product is specifically developed for cosmetics.

TEGOLON® ECO 10-10 also provides a soft focus
effect, leaving the skin looking more even.
Sensory evaluations showed a reduction in oiliness
and tackiness and therefore an overall pleasant after
feel when TEGOLON® ECO 10-10 is used in cosmetic
formulations.
2. Processing
TEGOLON® ECO 10-10 can be combined with other
powders and pigments
In powder-based foundations or color cosmetics
TEGOLON® ECO 10-10 can be incorporated around
80 °C if the formulation only contains an oil phase.
Especially when preparing O/W emulsions, it is
recommended to add TEGOLON® ECO 10-10 below
40 °C to the combined phases and homogenize for a
short time.

Processing:
1. Heat phase A to approx. 80-85 °C.
2. Premix and grind phase B.
