God in Christ also has forgiven you”

Please continue praying for the
Lebanese people as they look after millions
of Syrian & Iraqi refugees living in the
country. Praise God for Muslins coming to
Christ among chaos.
Many Syrians are feeling they are not
wanted in their country any more. Please
pray that people won’t lose hope and
Christians will be strengthened through
their faith. Please also continue to lift up
Syria, and pray for an end to the conflict.
Please pray for a solution to all the political
unrest in Libya. The stress for Christians,
and particularly every Libyan, is
unbearable. Pray that God will bring peace
to the hearts of His children.
Give thanks and praise for all
our Pastoral Care Workers.
Pray for the school staff and communities,
especially new staff and principals, as they
begin the new year.
We pray for all past, current and future
members of Kairos for their commitment
and contribution to this growing ministry.
Their involvement has made more people
aware of Kairos in the wider community.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your
heart, as though you were working for the
Lord and not for people.”
(Colossians 3:23 TEV)
No matter what you do — sweeping the
streets, running a corporation, or the work
of a stay-at-home mum — your job is more
than a job. The Bible says that while you
are here on earth, you should use your
work as an act of worship.
This means that whatever you do, you are
to do it with enthusiasm. If your heart is not
in it, you are in the wrong job. If you are not
working with all your heart, you are sinning.
I didn't say that; the Bible says it
Why work with all your heart?
Because you are working “as though you
were working for the Lord and not for
people.” No matter what I do, if it is to
prepare a meal, sign an invoice, do an
analysis, close a deal, make a sale, make a
delivery — whatever it is, I am to do it as if
I'm doing it for God, and so it becomes an
act of worship.
How will the way you work change now that
you know it is an act of worship?
Rick Warren
Please uphold our Church
family members that are struggling with
serious health issues; for those who need/
are recovering from surgery; for those who
suffering mental health issues. We ask for
peace, perseverance and healing.
Let’s give thanks for the holiday time,
where we can be refreshed and revitalised!
Pray for all the MCC programs starting up
again in February for the New Year.
