We encourage everyone in our parishes to pray for those who are sick. If you know of others who may be sick and
in need of prayer, please let us know so we can include the names in our Sunday bulletin.
First Communion/Confirmation: We have 5 children enrolled in the First Communion program. The
books and more info will be coming in February. We have 6 children wanting the Sacrament
of Confirmation in this centennial year. Information from the meeting with the Archdiocese on January
29th will be made available providing us with more news and program for this special occasion, hopefully
to begin in mid-February.
We are very blessed and thankful to have all these children eager to learn more about our Faith.
New Ministry Schedule: Copies of the ministry schedule for February 1st to May 31st are available at the

Knights of Columbus Meeting: Thursday, February 12th at the Elie Rectory. Mass at 7:00 p.m. followed
by the meeting.
February is Heart Month: Volunteers will be canvassing in the Elie area on behalf of the Heart &
Stroke Foundation. Please give generously and help fund critical heart disease and stroke research. For

Chez Nous Fundraiser at St. Charles Parish: Come and join us for an evening of fun, Friday, February
13th, and a chance to help Chez Nous, a drop-in centre in downtown Winnipeg that has counted on St.
Charles’ support for many years. There will be a dinner and dance to a live band, meat draw and silent
auction. Tickets are on sale from Angela Bowman, 204-804-8155. St. Charles Parish is located at 320 St.
Charles Street in Winnipeg.
