Keeping Up-To-Date
Please remember to check out the YMS calendar for upcoming school events.
It is our aim to make sure we put detailed information on the calendar about
upcoming events for your convenience. The calendar can be found on the
YMS website.
Please take the time to keep up-to-date with class websites. They are a great
place to find out what has been happening in your child’s class. This week
Rimu is very keen for people to read the wonderful recounts they have written
and published on their class blog. Have a read of Rimu Class' great recounts they
wrote this week: Feel free to comment! Max Graham has written an especially
riveting fishing recount.

Thank you Lynda
Our wonderful Office Executive, Lynda Ingram, has been working above and beyond the call of duty to
reinvigorate our school gardens. Step 1 has been completed with more to come in the following weeks.
Lynda’s plan is to replace some of our old woody plants with some durable natives interspersed with some
ornamental plants.
A special thanks also to Lynda’s son, Tyler, who has been water blasting the school buildings.

Diva Rhythmic Gymnastics
Rhythmic Gymnastics is a combination of ballet, dance and gymnastics that uses handheld apparatus like the
ribbon and ball. It is great for confidence, strength and flexibility. We emphasize fun and fitness and it is
fantastic for developing co-ordination. Classes are for girls aged 4 and above for recreational and competitive
classes. We are based at The NZ Institute of Sport building in the main gymnasium at 66bWharenui Road,
Riccarton. Please contact Bianca for more information at [email protected] or call 027 521 7220. Spaces
are limited to ensure a good ratio of teachers and children.
Muddy Good Run
Muddy Good Run is on Sunday the 19th of October 2014.
The Muddy Good Run is being held in Rakaia with the Children's race starting at 10.00am then followed by the
