Estructura de la lengua. Gramática. Semántica y léxico.
Programa Básico
Objetivos
The aim of this course designed for good upper-intermediate students of general English is to consolidate the
knowledge acquired in their study of English in "Morfosintaxis y Semántica Inglesa II".
Programa de Teoría
GRAMMAR
1. Clauses of time. Prepositions. Formation of nouns. Revision of conditional sentences.
2. The present perfect. Like, as. Adverbs and word order. Reported requests, offers..
3. Present perfect continuous. Clauses of reason. The definite article. Phrasal verbs.
4. Relative clauses. Formation of Adjectives. Review of linking words..
VOCABULARY
Vocabulary related to the topic worked upon in each unit. A great deal of work will be devoted to expanding
vocabulary.

Evaluación
Participation in class (20%) and a final exam at the end of the course (80%) will conform the final grade. The final
exam will consist of the following papers:
- Dictation or reading comprehension.
- Use of English: a test paper on grammatical structures and lexis.
- Composition.
- Oral exam.
